How does it work?
We utilize a naturally derived insecticide (Riptide) that has been known for years for its “killing” properties. A water-based solution with Riptide is then misted by our powerful pump and high tech nozzle design to spread the mist over a wide area. Riptide concentration is very low, less than 1% by volume, yet it has great pest clearing properties second to no other.

What type of Insecticide Is Used And Is It Safe?
Our misting systems use Riptide. Riptide is an EPA registered water based insecticide made from a botanical extract from a chrysanthemum like flower. It leaves no oily residue like some man made insecticides. This means that you can use your area within minutes after misting.

What Pests Does It Control?
Mister Green and Stable Mister will control all nuisance insects such as gnats, all varieties of mosquitoes, flies and others.

How Often Do We Mist For Control?
Typically you would mist twice a day, once in the morning and once in the late afternoon around dusk when the mosquitoes and other insects are most active. Misting for only 30 seconds each time is usually sufficient. Use the remote control or the timer to provide the mist.

What about coverage?
Mister Green’s unique design has the four flexible misting arms that extend from the body of the mister. This provides more uniform coverage and combined with the powerful pump and high tech nozzles can easily cover 1000 square feet.

When can we use the space for play or a barbeque?
Once the misting stops wait a few minutes and then enjoy a pest free environment.

What about maintenance?
Mister Green is designed for years of trouble free service. Because of water quality, some scaling of the nozzles can occur over time. Soaking with commercially available cleaning solutions such as Krud Kutter cleans the nozzles. Some nozzles may need to be cleaned once a season.

How Often Do I Need To Refill The Reservoir?
The reservoir contains 3 gallons of water. To that amount you would add 3.5 ounces of Riptide. If you spray once a day for 30 seconds that amount will last for 4 to 6 weeks. Remember you do not need to mist every day if the area is not being used or the pests are not present.

How Much Riptide Comes With The Order and Where Do I Purchase More?
A 5-ounce bottle is sold separately and can be purchase from Pest Off or any of our fine retailers and distributors.

There Are Other Misting Systems Why Mister Green?
Mister Green’s high-powered pump, nozzle design and flexible misting arms assure that the mist is effectively distributed throughout the area. That is why we can claim a mist time of 30 seconds (40 to 50 seconds for severe pest times) as compared to 120 seconds or longer for other misting systems. Plus we utilize Riptide as the insecticide providing the best pest control and no oily residue. Mister Green is not battery charged so we can use a powerful pump to maximize the misting and eliminate the need to recharge or replace batteries.

Is It Difficult To Set Up?
Mister Green requires no assembly. Simply take Mister Green out of the box, add three gallons of water, add 3.5 ounces of Riptide, locate the unit, plug it in and press the remote button. You have now started to take control of your yard from those pests.

Are Mister Green and Stable Mister Independently Tested For Safety Standards?
Mister Green and Stable Mister carry the Internationally and Nationally accepted ETL Approval. This means that the products have been tested by a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory to comply with OSHA and other safety standards. The ETL mark is your assurance of a safe and high quality product.

What Is The Warranty?
All Pest Off products have a manufacturer warranty of one years after sale. This warranty covers non-consumable items such as the pump and level controller. For a warranty claim merely contact Pest Off for a Return Goods Number and return it.

Are There Different Models Of Mister Green?
Pest Off chose to limit the number of models simply to provide the optimum protection with each model. Your only choices are Model MG-1000-RC (remote control only) of Model MG-1000-RT (remote control with timer).

What is Stable Mister?
Stable Mister applies Mister Green to control horse flies and other inserts around stable and other animal areas.
